12VDC Latch Relay - Instructions

Pump Start DC Latching Relay - OMRON MY2K DC L/Relay + OMRON PYF14A-N BASE

Wiring Instructions:

  • Positive from Controller/RTU output to relay 9 terminal
  • Negative from Controller/RTU output to relay 13 terminal
  • Relay terminals 12 and 14 looped
  • Relay terminals 13 to 14 connected with diode (diode flow 13 > 14)
  • Relay terminals 9 to 12 connected with diode (diode flow 9 > 12)
  • Normally Closed Terminals 1/10, and 4/11 (when the relay is energized these will open)
  • Normally Open Terminals 5/10, and 8/11 (when relay is energized these will close)

Diode Details

Most diodes will operate in this application! The diagram states a 1N4001, as this is a 100V-rated diode.

Diode Coding Note

The 1N400X series is a family of popular 1A general-purpose silicon rectifier diodes commonly used in AC adapters for common household appliances. Its blocking voltage varies from 50 volts (1N4001) to 1000 volts (1N4007).
