Fixing the 'Missing System Definition' Error on the DREAM2 Controller

If you’ve encountered the 'Missing System Definition' error on a Talgil DREAM2 controller, it’s usually the result of an improper shutdown or unexpected power loss.
When this happens, the controller loses its basic configuration, making it unable to connect to the internet or communicate with the central server.
Thankfully, the full configuration can often be restored from the server's daily backup — but before that can happen, the controller needs to be reconnected to the network. This requires re-entering the basic configuration settings.
In this tutorial, I’ll walk you through the steps to restore the basic configuration and get your controller back online, ready to receive its full settings from the server backup.
Step 1 - Press F4
To open the settings menu

Step 2 - Press PG Down
Press the down arrow repeatedly to skip through all screens until the right-facing arrow appears, allowing you to press F4 again.

Step 3 - Press F4 to enter to the Hardware Definition

Step 4 - Use the arrow a number keys to navigate through the menu.
Change the 'AC 1/O Interface' quantity from '0' to '1'

Step 5 - Press PG Down
Press the down arrow repeatedly to skip through all screens until the right-facing arrow appears, allowing you to press F4 again.

Once you've skipped through the screens, the main menu will appear again, and the controller should now reconnect to the internet.
If it doesn't, consider restarting the controller.
