The Zurn Wilkins 975XL2 Reduced Pressure Principle Backflow Preventer provides high-hazard protection for potable water applications. The wye pattern, bronze body provides separate access to each check valve and the relief valve for servicing.

Ideal for use where Lead-Free* valves are required. Designed for installation on potable water lines to protect against both back siphonage and backpressure of contaminated water into the potable water supply. Assembly shall provide protection where a potential health hazard exists.

The Reduced Pressure Principle Backflow Preventer is rated to 82°C.
The checks shall be oriented at a 45° angle upward and accessible for maintenance without removing the relief valve or the entire device from the line.
If installed indoors, the installation should be supplied with an air gap and “Y” type strainer.
Unless otherwise specified, the assembly should be mounted at a minimum of 305mm and maximum of 762mm above adequate drains with sufficient side clearance for testing and maintenance.
